I'm so happy you enjoyed "Between Shades of Gray." You said you had a hangover after reading it. I had a hangover after writing it! Yes, it was very challenging to write. Sometimes the sadness of the experience overwhelmed me and leaked into my heart. Instead of trying to run away from it, I tried to stay present within it so I could transfer that sense of emotion into the writing for the reader. I hope it worked! :)

Hi! I just finished reading "Between Shades of Gray" and it was amazing! I really want to read "Salt to the Sea" because I heard that Joana, Lina's cousin, was one of the main characters in the story! I was also wondering what made you want to be an author?
