Learning that the book was confirmed to be made into a movie was truly a dream come true. I'm still pinching myself! I'm excited, but not because I wrote the book. I'm excited because many people who were deported to Siberia felt that the world had forgotten them. The movie will bring the story to a much larger audience and I'm so grateful for that.
