Hi there!
Thanks so much for your question. I think it would be fascinating to write a realistic futuristic novel! But futuristic would require me to do quite a bit of "world building" and that would be difficult for me. I have so much respect for fantasy, science fiction, and futuristic writers. They build complex worlds and scenarios. Writing historical, I am describing something that already exists, which I think it easier. But if I were to do it, I would write about Lithuania!

HI RUTA . I love your books , I have read all of them . I love historical Fiction . I have a Polish and Ukrainian Background . My grandmother and grandfather had to leave their homeland which was Ukraine and Poland. My grandmother was from Lviv and i enjoyed seeing that in Salt and the sea. My question is what is your cultural background and why did you decide to write about that time period ?
