Did you ever go through anything like the main character in girl in pieces?

Kathleen Glasgow Yes, I did. I gave Charlie my scars, but I also let her have her own story, too, because everyone deserves to have their story told. I'm hoping that by reading Charlie's story, which is ultimately a story about friendship, love, and bravery, readers will be encouraged to speak up about their own difficult journeys.
