Hello! I was just wondering about the significance of your series title--Keeper of the Lost Cities. I know Sophie is from the Lost Cities--Earth, the human world--but...what does the Keeper part imply? What is she keeping...? Does it imply anything about connections between Earth and the Elven world? I'm a bit worried that I'm missing something significant that everyone else knows, so I wanted to check and make sure.

Shannon Messenger Ha--well, try not to read too much into titles, since often the author isn't the one who chooses them. In this case, my publisher chose the title, but I do love it. To me, it works both because Sophie is protecting the Lost Cities, and also because she's a "Keeper" with secrets in her brain. I can't say for sure what my publisher was going for when they chose the title, though. Only that it was by far the best thing they suggested.
