I hate to be that person but not as much as I hate not knowing though continually hoping it will be *this year* each year, and so my question is: when will the next Shades of Grey book be released? I have read Jennifer Strange's adventures happily and was delighted with new installments of Thursday Next, but through those years I have held onto a great excitement for forthcoming stories from Eddie Russett's world.

It's a question that comes up a lot. The book sold poorly to begin with, and is still far from being my highest seller, so the flame sort of flickered a bit in that particular furnace. It's having a resurgence now, with a lot of people writing to me and saying very generous things, so we've got a prequel planned, and I'll be doing that after 'Early Riser', 'DragonSlayer IV' and another as-yet unnamed book. So that's the book after the book after the book after next. 2018, I guess - sooner if the ideas flow quicker!

You have been my favorite author ever since one of my book groups introduced me to The Eyre Affair. I eagerly await each new book. Could you ask your US publisher(s) to not change your books? I want to read them as written and info on your website indicates that, in some cases, extensive changes are made.
