Hi Mr. Fforde-- First, I want you to know that your Thursday Next books were, and still continue to be, a source of absolute wonder and joy in my life. I'm currently getting a double Master's degrees in Shakespeare, so this is a delight for me. So. My question: If you could change one major thing from any Shakespeare play of your choice, what would you change and how would it affect the rest of the narrative?

Oh, hands down, Hamlet V Iago. This would be the literary equivalent of Batman V Superman or predator V Alien. Big problem with Hamlet is there is no-one up to Hamlet's level of wit and wordsmithery, aside from the gravedigger. I'd like to see how he fared against Iago, who, incidentally, was probably offering 'tactical assistance' to Richard III during that ill-fated crown deal.

Like many of your questioners, I'm a total fangirl of your work, especially the Thursday Next series, and I dream of an afterlife that's much like the Bookworld, where I can visit my own stories even if no one has read them. :) Have you imagined lives for your own unpublished work (if you have any such phenomena in your desk drawer)? Do you have a manuscript you love that has yet to find publication?

I really admire the world you created for the Thursday Next series and especially loved The Well of Lost Plots. Do you have any other characters who may come out to play in future books? Any character you desperately want to feature but he/she just won't play nicely with the story you have in mind?
