There were some really "ick-gross" moments with the toilet brush and the catheter where I had to skip forward, but as a whole, this seemed like a really sanitized version of SM for the masses. Candace Blevins Thanks for the note Hilary! The toilet brush was brand new (she watched him take it out of the packaging), and the person doing the catheter was a nurse, but I know a lot of people still aren't comfortable with those things.

I've been in the lifestyle since my early twenties, and I'm rapidly approaching fifty. My Safeword books are written based on what it's really like to live the lifestyle. Just as the relationship looks different to each of my characters, it'll look a little different to everyone who practices in the real world, too.
