I know this is probably irrelevant but I just finished Ariah and it was incredible a book that will really stick with me, but I need to know if at the beginning of the book Ariah is thirty, how long to elves live for. I know Sorcha has grey in his hair are they middle-aged by the end of the book our equivalent to 35ish? Random question I know but I've been thinking about it a lot so I thought I'd ask :) Thank you Abi

Thank you for reaching out! Uninterrupted, and in good living conditions, elves would live around 200-250 years. That's not common, given that elves are oppressed and don't live in ideal conditions, but that's their natural lifespan compared to humans and Qin, who live between 80-100 years in the best conditions.
And you're right--by the end of the book, both Sorcha and Ariah have moved from young men to a bit older. Around 25 years pass through the course of the book, so they both have a good bit of life ahead of them still, but they are certainly not the very young men they once were.
