Isaiah, So glad you liked Palace of Illusions. I think Smith and epic are very powerful forms. They reach deep inside us, and change our preconceptions about ourselves. Therefore, I believe that a woman centered text like Palace of Illusions, based on the epic Mahabharat, can change our views as to the importance and power of women in our society.

I just read your book the Palace of Illusions. I am Indian and Hindu and I have grown up with the story of Mahabharata, just like you said you had in your introduction. Reading this has changed my entire perspective on the epic tale. I still have goosebumps from reading it. How did you get this idea to write Draupadi's viewpoint in the Mahabharata?
