i noticed in the seven alec ramsey series that you often mentioned the aftershave or perfume a character was wearing ...as a fragrance collector i was intrigued as ive rarely seen it in the many books i have read. what made you think to add a description of their smells :)?

Conrad Jones Hi, Barry, sorry for the delay. I rarely come on here! I find I use my own reaction to people as the bases for my characters. I think the way people smell is a vital piece of their personality especially if the stink.......and lots of people do! I also find the stronger the perfume or cologne the bolder the statement the wearer is making, sometimes adding to a big personality, sometimes making up for a lack of......it means a lot to me in my descriptions of a character.......did you think that it adds?
