What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Hollie Overton One of the perks of being a novelist is that, I don't have to leave my house. I can work in my living room with my dog Stevie curled up in my lap (and I can take naps!) But I'd say the most satisfying part of publishing my first novel is hearing from readers who loved Baby Doll. I've gotten so many messages that they loved the book and the characters and it really is just the best feeling in the world to know that you wrote something that so many people responded to.
