A Goodreads user asked AdityaNighhot:

Why do you think Indian writers tend find it difficult to attract the foreign reading masses?

AdityaNighhot According to me, its the way of writing. Indian authors like me want our readers to relate themselves to the characters in the book. So, we keep it simple and realistic, also at the same time taking into consideration the entertainment (masala) quotient. The second reason could be our culture. Foreigner reading masses can't understand it.
