Well, I definitely had a reason for that name, but I never explain it in the book. That was deliberate. I thought it would be fun to leave it as a kind of Easter egg for readers to discover on their own. (Not that it's anything brilliant or earth-shattering, mind you. Like I said, I just thought it would be fun.)
You might have guessed it already, but if not--let's just say that you'll find a clue if you check the etymology of the word. :-)
