I do all kinds of research: I go to university libraries, read unpublished dissertations, interview scholars, search on the Internet, go to the places I'm writing about. Really, just about any way you could think I do research I do. I even eat everything I write about!

Most of your stories are based on real people's experiences. How did you get all the pieces of the story? Did you have to travel to the area or were you able to contact a history center?

Hi Lisa, I'm moving forward slowly on the PUB journey. I thought I had a strong opportunity w/ a specific publisher. It was not a good fit. My novel Chosen's Beautiful Heart is (Asian women's fiction) which is a bit of a hurdle for a white man. Some agents have suggested adding wife as a co-author. And since she was my original editor in chief and the story is loosely based on her life in HK? Any thoughts?
