What's the process for deciding to write connected stories or stories that are part of a series vs. a stand alone? How is the writing process different for connected stories or stories that are part of a series vs. a stand alone? Enjoyed Don't Tempt Me and looking forward to book 2 but can't believe I have to wait a year!

Usually there isn't a year between my related books. I guess the publisher planned it that way since the books are trade. Not sure.
I don't really plan a series or a stand alone. It's just how it works out - although I have to say I've had very few stand alone books. lol.
Almost always, when I start a book, there's a secondary character that jumps up and says, "Me, me, me!" in an effort to be next. When that happens, I give in and do what the characters tell me to! :-)
