As a writer, I love writing beginnings (of chapters, books, essays) but I really struggle with endings. Do you find either beginnings or endings especially tough or easy, in general, and specifically with Reconstructing Amelia?

Kimberly McCreight Middles! I think those are the hardest--it's always where I need to trim the most. Maybe that's because I write mysteries and I usually know where I'm headed and certainly where I'm starting--it's the journey that can get thorny!

Just came across Reconstructing Amelia! WOW what an intense and wonderful book. I want to finish it but don't want it to end! Just want to say I cannot wait to dive into your other books. Your writing is up there with Jodi Picoult! I have been waiting to find another author that I enjoy just as much. What book would you suggest I read next? Also who are some of your favorite authors?
