Wendy
Wendy asked Lori Foster:

My journalism advisor in college told me to read, read, read....anything from magazines to newspapers to a variety of authors. She said that it is good to be informed, especially to an aspiring writer? Do you agree? I would appreciate any advice you might offer.

Lori Foster I absolutely agree, Wendy!
I would suggest reading things you enjoy. Don't force yourself to read. But generally, once we learn our reading preferences, we can find a variety of formats. Books, news articles, magazines, blogs... I honestly believe the more you read, the better you write!
Good luck!
