Mr. Sullivan, I am quite sure you have been asked many times, but will there be more? I simply must know what happens next! <3

Hey Citrine, Thanks for asking. I'm going to assume you are asking if there will be more Riyria? But just in case I'll go through all the books.
* Riyria Revelations & Riyria Chronicles - when I wrote Revelations I had a very specific story arc in mind. I knew exactly where I wanted to start and where I wanted to end. As such that series was six books and I never intended to write any more with Royce and Hadrian once it was done. That said, nudging from both my wife and readers made it apparent that people wanted more - and hence Riyria Chronicles was created. Unlike Revelations (which was a single tale told in episodes), I wanted to keep that new series more along the line of standalone novels with Royce and Hadrian. The idea was that I could abandon the pair whenever it looked like they were starting to get stale or threatening to overstay their welcome. So, my idea was to release then take a pulse. The Death of Dulgath (Riyria Chronicles #3) has now been out for about 8 months now, and the people have spoken...and they still want more. So I do have plans for a fourth Riyria novel. Not sure what the story line is yet. I'm a bit burned out from finishing the Legends of the First Empire and I need to take some time to re-group and figure out where to go next. I should also mention (because it's often requested) a bit about a "post Riyria novel." No immediate plans for that, but as Chronicles came into being because people wanted it, there is a possibility of something "in the future." I won't announce officially until I've actually written and am happy with it.
* The Legends of the First Empire - well book #1 has been out for just about 2 months and I'm really pleased with how it's being received. While official numbers is difficult (we know how many books left the warehouse but don't know if they'll sell to customers or be shipped back), it looks like it's sold about 40,000+ copies between audio, ebook, and hardcover. That's a really respectable number (5,000 is considered a decent number over the "life" of a book) and we are way above that. Also the reviews have been really positive. Counting just US Amazon, Goodreads, and Audible we are at 4,800+ reviews. 91.1% are 4 or 5, 6.7% are 3 and only 2.2% are 1's and 2's. Of course there will be more of these coming soon. Robin is about to start the beta read for book #2. I JUST finished by second edits for book #6 - so the series is done!! Del Rey has the first three books under contract and if they don't pick up the other 3 they'll still come out - through self-publishing.
* Hollow World - is my least popular book, but one that is near and dear to my heart. It was written as a stand alone but I also left the door open for a sequel. Like Riyria Chronicles #4, I do plan on writing a followup book to this one. Again, not sure of the timing of it. I have about 12 - 15 story ideas vying for my attention. I'm using the next few weeks to figure out what I'll write next.
Thanks for asking!

Hey Michael. I don't know what it is about summer that makes me miss Hadrian so much but that's usually when I'm ready to read him again. You know I agree with your wife about Hadrian!! When is the next Riyria book coming out? I'm itching for something I didn't know about him!! P.S. I've told you how much I think you ROCK but it's worth mentioning again!! I want to live in Elan!! Your biggest fan, Pam
