This is less of a question and more of a comment. I follow lots of authors and I just wanted to say, it's super cool, because you're the only one who ever answers the questions people post. I also have a question: Do you ever get hate mail? How does it feel if you do? I would send you fan mail, but I can't because I don't think my parents will let. Shannon Messenger Aw, thank you so much! I try to answer questions whenever I can. And to answer yours, I don't know that I've ever gotten hate mail--and here's hoping it stays that way. Of course there are people who don't like my books or perhaps even feel they don't like me--that's the nature of this business. And if they ever decided to reach out to me to express those opinions, that's definitely their right. But it's also my right to choose to delete those messages without even finishing reading them, and certainly without replying--which is what I would do. It's not that I can't handle criticism (although anything that falls into the category of 'hate mail' is generally much more than simple criticism) It's that I barely have time to reply to all the amazing fan mail I get from readers, I would certainly never waste a second of it on someone who just wants to be mean. :)
