I really loved the series that included When You Dare and the others. Where did you get the ideas behind the guys for those books? Were they based on guys you know personally or just personalities you made up? They certainly were a dynamic set of characters!!

Hi Leanne,
I thought I answered this yesterday, but now I don't see it. If this is a repeat, then please ignore me. :-P
None of the characters in my books are based off actual people I know. However, small personality traits likely shine through - perhaps someone's style of humor, or the way someone reacts to certain situations. So there might be bits and pieces of people I know. Make sense?
I got the idea for this series after watching Taken with Liam Neeson. He was on a mission to save his daughter who'd been taken by human traffickers, but out of necessity, he walked past many young ladies in need. Though it was only a movie, it broke my heart. Human trafficking is a very serious, fast-growing problem not only in exotic foreign countries, but in the US. In your city. Often in your town.
Slavery of any sort is one of the most heinous crimes imaginable, so I wanted to not only highlight it, but show a happier resolution. Fiction, I know, but dreams get us through the tough times!
Thanks for the terrific question.
Happy reading!
