what type of research did you do for Behind Closed Doors?

B.A. Paris Once I knew the kind of story I wanted to write, I used the internet to look for articles about women who had been held prisoner. I wanted to know why they hadn't tried to escape even when they could have - one woman was allowed to go out to buy milk but she was so conditioned that she didn't think of trying to get away, she just went straight back to her captor.

Hello, I just read The breakdown. What a great book, with a twist end. When i was reading i had the idea Cas could be the killer en forgot that she did it. No question (?) just praise. Looking expectantly for your next book . After reading Behind Closed Doors, which was awesome by the way, I broke speed to the library for Breakdown, double awesome. My husband would have tried to figure it out. Not me. I just enjoyed the read and was surprised at the end. I love your page turners that can't be put down. A new fan.
