Caelidh asked Jeff Wheeler:

I am really enjoying your Muirwood series. You are an excellent writer. You have written that you are inspired by philosophers and ancient religions, specifically Christianity. You seem to write from a more mystical and esoteric view, however. What other traditions and philosophers and practices have inspired you? It would be great to have some references to study .

Jeff Wheeler Some you might look into further: James Allen (As a Man Thinketh), Sun Tzu (The Art of War), and many of the Stoic writers from the classical era (Seneca, Plutarch, and Ovid). I also read Plato and Aristotle. Whenever I run across something that resonates within me as being very wise, I make note of it. Early Christian writers are also very good.
