Sorry to ask again--I see from your bio that you have a legal background. What did you think about Mary's legal defense, that it was in a military court vs. a civilian court?

I thought that she was at a definite disadvantage. Not being able to testify on her own behalf (which at that time was the case everywhere except in Maine) also was a great disadvantage.

Being a writer is what I want the most in this world, nothing makes me happier than writing, but I'm more and more frustrated with each passing day, because I've been blocked for 3 years. And it is not that I have an unfinished story. I have NOTHING AT ALL. A blank page in front of me, that only makes me sadder... Is there a way to overcome this? How do you handle it?

I was so disappointed to see your book on Lady Margaret Pole / The Countess of Salisbury was postponed by the publisher, as its arrival would have been timely for a current writing project. I've been trying to do research on the Poles and not having much luck finding out what happened to her husband. Did you find anything in your research process? Does anyone know what he died of?
