Hi Santiva,
Thank you so much. Awesome that you want to write a novel someday! I think the best way to hone your voice, including your particular use of figurative language, is to pay close attention during your day-to-day activities about how you might choose to describe a certain event, natural landscape, or person. I used to carry around a notebook and jot down descriptors of what I saw and experienced.
In terms of finding time to write...I just really try and make it my top priority. I started getting up earlier so that I could do all my writing before the work day begins at 9 a.m. I find that if I prioritize it first, it happens. If I wait and delay, however, the day gets away from me.

Hi!! I really admire your work and I really want to be able to write as well as you someday. My question is, how do you come up with these amazing plots?? My friends and I write books together and we can never find it keep a steady plot line. Thanks again for writing amazing books!!!!
