I loved your book so much!! especially the imagery and the beautiful writing. it was absolutely breathtaking! i want to ask why you decided to write a book with Hindu/Greek mythology as your debut novel. And how long did it take for you to complete it? Do you think you want to explore other genres of books other than fantasy?

Roshani Chokshi Thank you!!! I'm so glad you read and enjoyed. I wanted to write a book with shades of Hindu and Greek mythology because my favorite childhood stories came from both traditions. The Star-Touched Queen knocked about in my head for a couple years. It wasn't until the autumn after I graduated college with a low-paying job and graduate school applications looming that I decided to stop thinking about the story, and start writing it. I wrote what would become TSTQ from October-April, was offered representation by my agent in August, went on submission from October-February, and signed my publishing contract in March. I loooooove fantasy, both young adult and middle grade. I think if there's any other genre I'd like to write it would be a straight-up romance :) Maybe one day. Thanks so much for reading.
