What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Elly Blake I have different pieces of advice depending on the stage you're at, but my basic advice is that it's good to focus on improving and learning the writing craft, rather than focusing on where you are in the publishing journey (which is out of our control). Every single writer gets rejections, so you can expect that to be part of your experience, too. However, that doesn't mean you should give up! We all have so much potential, and we can all improve! Take breaks when needed, try not to judge yourself or to feel guilty (writing is hard at every level), and come back to your passion for writing when you're ready. <3
