Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Michael Slade HEADHUNTER Reimagined is an all-new telling of the first Special X thriller, published in 1984.

Because that novel was based on my practice of criminal law, much of what it "foresaw" played out in real life over the following decades. Also, the Internet offered research unavailable before.
