I just finished Openly Straight (I love it! I literally read it within 24 hours) and I was so happy to find out there's a sequel. My question is, have you always planned on writing a sequel, or was your first idea to leave it at Openly Straight? I had a super bad post-book-depression until I heard about Honestly Ben (can't wait!), I was an emotional wreck. Also, I really loved Rafe's essays. Thank you so much.

Bill Konigsberg Hi Charly! I actually had NOT planned on writing a sequel. I thought Openly Straight was a standalone book, but then I got so many emails and messages from readers who wanted to know if more was coming, and I decided to give it a go! I hope you'll enjoy it when it comes out in March.
