Hi! Huge fan, etc.: You are one of the few authors I reread. What is your 5 year plan? Do you intend to stay with the more serious novels such as On Second Thought and If You Only Knew, or return now and again to the more frothy romances? I love both. I would love to re-visit some of the great towns and characters you have written about in the past! Any plans to go back to New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Maine?

Hi, Rebekah! My five year plan is not to die. That's about all I've got!
For now, for the book I'm currently writing, it's that blend of funny and deeper issues. The frothier stuff is harder to come up with, because I think I've covered that pretty well. And in a sense, there's still plenty of froth in my books...there's just more Deep Stuff, if you know what I mean. : )

Hi, my sister is your GREATEST fan. So much that she has quotes from your EVERY book memorized. It's on her recommendation - persistence- that I read and LOVED blue heron series. My question is do you have same kind of family and friends as you have shown in your blue heron series? Because being a (very) fledging writer myself, I usually find it difficult to put romance and family love in words. Just curious. Thanks.

I love that your stories always contain a mix of family members. What I mean is there are biological, half siblings, neighbor kids that stay in the picture and extended grandma, grandpa, etc. I am curious about your own background? ( I come from a very mixed background. We take in all strays ha!)
