Last week I went and saw the movie Hidden Figures. As I was watching I was wondering about your thoughts on it (movie or book)? I've not yet read the book. I listened to your essay regarding The Help and it really, really gave me a new perspective on it.

Roxane Gay I really enjoyed Hidden Figures in that I learned about incredible black women and their work with NASA. The movie took certain silly liberties, like Kevin Costner in the savior role, but for the most part, it was well done and the cast was very talented.
