I'm so glad you enjoyed Behind Closed Doors and wonderfful that you'll be getting an ARC of The Breakdown! Paris is lovely, isn't it? There are so many good restaurants that it's hard to choose just one but I really like l'Ardoise in the rue Mont-Thabor.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to read my question! I have never read your book before, but look forward to in the near future, since I do think it's a little too mature for me, being a teen. I did want to ask, since I enjoy writing thrillers myself, how do you create that poignant, raw, hauntingly beautiful effect in a book? How do you put that level of emotion into words, easy for the readers to comprehend?
