How can an avid reader choose just one? Eve and Roark from J. D. Robb's In Death series is a fave that quickly comes to mind. And as to the "why?", it always falls to the dynamic relationship the characters share. Yes, the romance is great but in the end, it's how the couples fare 2without the perfect romance and situations.
