Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Marilyn Brant I'll always have a soft spot for Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. I loved their sharp-witted conversations and the way they interacted so believably on the page. I first read the novel when I was 14 and there was something incredibly spirited about their relationship -- I could visualize it as easily as if it were happening right in front of me. It's still one of my favorite novels of all time!
