Rick Blechta
Nick and Nora Charles from The Thin Man movies. I just find their back and forth banter absolutely delightful and their characters interesting -- especially in the way they interact. I also like Lily Rowan and Archie Goodwin, although they appear far too seldom in the Nero Wolfe books for my liking. Again I find them interesting for the same reasons -- as they are somewhat similar, aren't they?

Thanks. I'm travelling a great deal right now so e-books are the thing. Used to lug around hard copies then have to find a second hand bookstore that sold English titles to top up (I quite often read a book-a-day)and it all just got to be too much, so I jumped to the dark side. Perhaps when things settle down, hopefully by late spring, I could take you up on your offer?
