Stories are always flowing through me. I can see an interaction between strangers at the supermarket, and an entire saga unfolds in my imagination. I think we all have this ability.
The difficulty comes in the discipline to set it down on paper, letting go of the need for it to be perfect (or even good). Although writing is magical, the act of writing is not magic. It's discipline, commitment and practice, practice, practice.
