This doesn't come from a book, this comes from a television show. My favorite fictional couple is Mr. Garrison and Mr. Slave from South Park. They push the boundaries of what is acceptable in society, and yet show those who are really there and marginalized in our world. The fact that it's contained in one of my favorite comedy cartoons at the same time is pure coincidence.
My better half says her favorite is Morticia and Gomez Addams. Through thick and thin, they are there for each other in their own way. They go with their own flow, and they still think of their family first.
