Naomi Boom asked Annie Burrows:

My favorite ending of all time is in your novel - Never Trust a Rake. It made me laugh out loud and gave me some seriously warm fuzzy feelings. The couple was so sensible, and it all clicked into place in one magical ending which I re-read on occasion. So, my question is, what is your favorite ending, and why?

Annie Burrows thanks for asking this question Naomi - it really made me think, because what I usually remember about a book is the characters, rather than an ending.
But 2 endings did spring to mind (eventually)
The first is the iconic ending of Jane Eyre. "Reader, I married him." Who could forget that? I just love the way the author gathers us in to her story, making us feel as though we are friends in whom she's confiding.
The other ending is from a book that not many people may have heard of: "The Untied Kingdom" by Kate Johnson. The hero gives up his entire world for love of the heroine, while the heroine is desperately trying to find her way back to the world in which he lives, even though it would mean return to terrible danger. It's a real high stakes situation, which left me with that "aaahhh" feeling.
