What's next from Kate Elliot? Crown of Stars is one of my all time favorite series, and I really liked your Spiritwalker trilogy as well. I'd love to know what's next so I could throw it in my pre-order queue!

My apologies for the delay in answering your excellent question! I was traveling: I attended Worldcon in London and then, 3 weeks later, Fantasycon in York (England), and I only recently arrived home.
Many thanks for your kind words about Crown of Stars and the Spiritwalker trilogy. It means so much to me to hear from readers.
What's next: for personal reasons I fell behind and had nothing appear in 2014, but that means 2015 is packed.
In February 2015, Tachyon Publications will be publishing a collection of my short fiction called THE VERY BEST OF KATE ELLIOTT, with an amazing Julie Dillon cover.
In August 2015 my YA debut comes out from Little Brown Books for Young Readers. It is called COURT OF FIVES and is a fantasy novel. The publicist has dubbed it "Little Women meets Game of Thrones" and while it is true that "Little Women" was one of the inspirations for the books, I can't honestly say that I set out to write a book in the style of Game of Thrones. This is it's own thing (I hope), and I'm very excited to have a new book published in a new (to me) genre.
Then, if revisions go well, my new epic fantasy, BLACK WOLVES, is scheduled to come out in October 2015 (Orbit Books).
Beyond that is still in the planning stages.

I am almost finished reading Cold Fire and have already purchased the other two in the set - I was just curious if you have ever made a map at all to go along with this trilogy. I am having a bit of trouble imagining the layout of some of the areas mentioned. :) If not that will not at all spoil the love of this story so far!
