Giant Quotes

Like a Colossus; and we petty men
Walk under his huge legs, and peep about
To find ourselves dishonourable graves.”
― Julius Caesar
Before you were born,
And were still too tiny for
The human eye to see,
You won the race for life
From among 250 million competitors.
And yet,
How fast you have forgotten
Your strength,
When your very existence
Is proof of your greatness.
You were born a winner,
A warrior,
One who defied the odds
By surviving the most gruesome
Battle of them all.
And now that you are a giant,
Why do you even doubt victory
Against smaller numbers,
And wider margins?
The only walls that exist,
Are those you have placed in your mind.
And whatever obstacles you conceive,
Exist only because you have forgotten
What you have already
Achieved.

Then he slammed Riptide into the ice at his feet. The entire glacier shuddered. Ghosts fell to their knees. Behind Percy, a wave surged up from the bay-a wall of gray water even taller than the glacier. Water shot from the chasms and crevices in the ice. As the wave hit, the back half of the camp crumbled. The entire edge of the glacier peeled away, cascading into the void-carrying buildings, ghosts, and Percy Jackson over the edge.”
― The Son of Neptune

Needs a GIANT life!
GIANT arms
Can hold a world!
Let me lead a GIANT'S life!
No little steps, no holding back!
A GIANT'S way, a GIANT'S track!
Let my mistakes
Be GIANT ones!
For I can't live in little worlds!
I need the space to run my fill
I need to jump from hill to hill
And if you take my woods from me
I'll wander out into the sea
And try to find another world
So I can live a GIANT'S life!”

The smell hit her first. Mold. Dampness. Cold lifeless things.
Within, there was a darker sort of silence, as if the building had been holding its breath for so long it had forgotten how to breathe.”

“Explain before your mate goes all fee-fi-fo-fum,” Valen drawls.
“Don’t compare me to that dumb motherfucker who thought legumes were a legit form of currency,” Dane snaps, turning from the door and glowering at Valen.
“Uh, teddy bear, that’s Jack. The giant is the one who says fee-fi-fo-fum.”
― Twilight Terrors

His massive legs pumped like pistons as they drove his feet against the street, and the people living along the road felt the cold fingers of fear tickle their spines and turn their bowels to water when they looked out to see what was making the noise.”

― Weighty 'n' Worthy African Proverbs - Volume 1

―
as if enormous is not enough?
Now, I'm supposed to feel it?
Become the blind man and the braille
he reads. Somehow, outside myself, feeling
legs, arms, chest, cleft in my huge jaw,
eyes that are mine and, at once,
eyes of the beholder.
My body is no one's history.
Trace fingers over every joint and scar.
Run hands across my skin,
through hair. Feel my nose.
There is nothing there
I've not grown into
like the slow unnoticed rising of trees.
It's only now, bulk that I am,
heaving into someone's light,
I must endure questions.
Should I answer? The truth or a lie?
Perhaps in a voice equal to my size:
I suffer from this uncommonness.
I'm growing from the outside in.
My soul has not yet caught up.

he loses his inner peace, diminishes himself before himself,
and makes the oppressor gigantic.”
