Andrew Finazzo (johnyqd) | 343 comments I read (and loved) Gone Girl. I think this will be a fast read and a wild ride.

The cover I have is the padlocked door. It is simple but evocative, recalling various horror movies (but not as much as most of the other covers). It also reminds me of a certain locked shed in Gone Girl. Many of the other covers feel like they aim more directly at chainsaw hacker flick feeling.

What's up with the title "La Llamada Del Kill Club"? Is there a spoiler in that one?!?

Maybe if I get a haircut and some new shoes my wife will call me "dashing" some day.

Michelle Finazzo | 281 comments I am so excited to be reading this as part of our book club.

I have the cover that is an unlocked padlock on a door. It is creepy because you know whoever is looking at it is going to open the door any minute. I feel like yelling DON'T OPEN THE DOOR right now. When I open up the book I get a first page that is purple and shows some weird steamy witch's cauldron. I then get an all black cover that is very somber and menacing. I like both the 1st and 3rd, the witch's cauldron, not so much.

Yay for dashing husbands!

Katie Finazzo | 2 comments First of all I was ripped off regarding the cover due to the lower class version of the Kindle I am borrowing, lol, that makes it even sadder. Secondly, I have my own thoughts on dashing husbands which is tremendously funny, but would sound odd/wierd/bizzare if you don't know me well, and thirdly, after reading the children's song prior to the start of the story, I can not say that I was at all excited to begin my reading adventure. Alas, begin I did, and all I will say for now is this, the author is effective in her descriptions while story telling, in that I can picture the details presented, clearly. Not that it is always pleasant, okay, so far none of it has been pleasant, but very clear and believable. Ciao for now:)

Natalie (nataliemeow) I was just looking at all the different covers! Wow very interesting and the padlock has me very curious. Also the Spanish title book is interesting.

Suzie | 28 comments Michelle, you've ruined it for me...every time I look at the cover now I'm going to think of you yelling "DONT OPEN THE DOOR!!!!" at some unsuspecting passerby and causing them to soil themselves, and then I'm going to laugh until I cry.

Michelle Finazzo | 281 comments @Suzie I LOVE a good "laugh until I cry" scenario. Graveyard can get a little glum so I'm glad I could assist ; )

Michelle Finazzo | 281 comments @Andrew you are one new pair of shoes away from your goal.

Suzie | 28 comments Ok, I'm only a few chapters in, and I don't like this chick. I hope she grows on me!

Suzie | 28 comments And as far as preconceived notions go, I learned from Gone Girl to keep my mind open!! I am actually rather excited to see where she takes us. I hope it's not too dark, though...I can never find a flashlight when I need one.

Candise Jackson | 10 comments I am getting ready to begin reading. I have also learned from Gone Girl(much like Andrew), to keep my mind open!

Laurel Cushnie | 3 comments I didn't know what to expect going into the book. This is the first I have read of her books. I believe that my Kindle version has the padlock on the cover. It reminds me of the second season of the Walking Dead and gruesome discoveries in a barn. Keep that shit locked up if you don't want someone going into it!
