That's a tough one. I've often thought of the hypothetical movie version of The Low Notes and wondered who my ideal cast would be (I may even do a blog post about it soon, it's a fun idea). When I was writing the book I saw Kevin as a combination of of one of my actually high school teachers who I had a pretty severe crush on and the actor Rick Malambri.
Now I'm really going to have to post my ideal cast lol! You've sparked my imagination.

Well, back in high school I had a pretty severe crush on a teacher and though nothing ever happened between us it inspired quite a bit of the book.
I've also always been intrigued and inspired by the idea that you can't help who you fall for. I think passionate love and even infatuation are emotions we feel hard and fast and I wanted to explore that idea. The more I wrote in The Low Notes when I was first working on it the more it just naturally came to me--the music being a huge part of the story-telling.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the book and I'm truly grateful for your awesome review! Thanks so much!

I don't have a sequel planned at this time. I feel as though the portion of Kevin and Nina's story that needed to be told has been told. I sometimes think about popping them in as side characters in another novel though, like a cameo appearance just so readers can see what they are up to. Never say never I suppose :)
Right now I'm focusing on a supernatural romance that I am very excited to finish and eventually share with my readers!
