Recently Jennifer Burns, author was on The Colbert Report. Almost 3 years ago (October, 2009) shoe was on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Through another website I frequent, I was made aware of the link below where she shares her take on the differences of being on the two shows.

I am very curious about the backstage workings of the show especially when it comes to "innocent" guests, such as authors (How do they present themselves to serious authors - especially those whose ideologies don't agree with the hosts - to get them to appear on the show?)
