Amara Tanith (aftanith) | 733 comments A thread for anyone and everyone to offer links to ebooks or audiobooks that are legally available for free as well as links to book/ebook/audiobook giveaway sites, exchange sites, and the like.

Please only include one link per post. That way, links that are broken or out of date can be removed. Feel free to double-post.

Remember: Do not post links to pirate sites or illegal downloads! Anyone who does so risks being permanently banned from the group.

Amara Tanith (aftanith) | 733 comments Nook Book Lending Library Club is a GR group dedicated to legal ebook sharing through the Nook's built-in Lending Library system. I'm not a member, but it looks reasonably active.

Amara Tanith (aftanith) | 733 comments LendInk is "a free service that allows you to connect with other book lovers, loan your lendable eBooks in seconds and find new books to borrow." As some of you may know, LendInk is back up after a recent debacle.

Quite alright. ;)

Edit: Oh, and your link in #5 is broken; it's missing the colon after the http.

Alison G. (agriff22) I just joined the Nook Book Lending Club after seeing it on here. I love it! What we do is exchange each others emails and add eachother as nook friends. Then we can borrow each others books once we are friends. i have been looking for the first 3 Harry Potter books and I got them on email the 2nd day I was a member of the group. Now, this group would only work perfect if I can get my Nook to charge!

Hilary | 21 comments I use lendle.me to borrow books. Right now it's only available for Kindle books. It can be slow at times, depending on whether there are copies to lend, but at other times I've gotten books pretty quickly.

Another perk is that while Lendle is free to use, they pay their users to loan their books. It's not a lot at all though (I've lent 8 books and made 63 cents, lol). I mainly use it because I enjoy sharing books.

Heidi (butbooksarebetter) I've found some good free books on http://www.epubbud.com/
It's a website where readers can share their ebooks or where people can publish their own books.
Worth having a look.

Oh, that's very cool! I'm using LendInk right now, but I think I'll have to check lendle.me out.

I'm subscribed to a lot of Free eBook sites via Google Reader; here's the list where I found them. Some of them are quite useful.

^-- That's the same place I found a lot of mine! Haha.

Also: For Kindle users, this may seem obvious but if you go to the Kindle books section and type in "0.00" in the search bar, it will bring up all the books that are currently priced for free; including special promotional deals or giveaways.

Does that site work for people living outside of America? I live in Germany and I followed your link and made an account, however when I went to borrow a book it directed me to the amazon.com site and I have an account on the amazon.de (amazon germany) site.
