I reread books I'm not particularly fond of every few years.Books I love I reread all the time!!!!!!! I will often reread one book at the same time as when I'm reading a new book. What are some of your favorite(s) books you've read over and over and over again?

Ooh! I remembered! Another series I read over and over is the Tiger's Curse XD THAT is EPIC!
Cool!!!!!!!! I've read some books so ragged I practically memorized the whole thing!!!!!A couple have been The Mysterious Benedict Society series,The Kingdom Keepers series,Peter and the Starcatchers series,Wings,Wide-Awake Princess;and I'm rereading the Artemis Fowl series!!!!!! I own the first of the Kane Chronicles and read the second one only once, but I haven't read the new one. :-(
:D tried to get it at the library;too many holds tho!!!!!

I think the Kane Chronicles would make awesome movies!!!!!!!!

that is fun!!!!!!! I love to read too!!!!!which kind of explains why I'm on goodreads!!!!Lol although with school in session I can't get much done.

do you read fast or slow?
for me it depends on(1) how much I like the book,(2)how much time I have to devote to it.If I don't really care for it,it can take up to 3 months for me to finish it.And if I simply have too much to do,then it can take about the same time to finish.like right now, school is pretty much dominating my week, and I go out with my family on weekends;so I haven't been able to get through a single book. :S But during the summer,I will read from sunup to sundown and finish an entire 500-page book in one day!!!!!!!!

really?well,good for you!!!! ;-)

Seriously??? I re-read voluntarily all the time lol! XD

Time is such a weird thing......
Especially when it's in a book that deals w/ time travel...... O.o
in this one,Artemis Fowl:the Time Paradox,Artemis goes back in time, but according to the time paradox theory,he has already gone back in time in the future, which turns into the past, which is currently the present. The author himself said it was confusing!!!!!! :D
ikr?Artemis is going back in time now(in the present). But it is not the initial time he has done it.He has already done it in the future;therefore he must do it in the present in order to keep the pattern of time flowing smooth. So from the present timeline,he has done it in the future, therefore he has also done it in the past(if he has already done it in the future,he has already done it,thereby making it a past action),therefore he must also do it in the present. :S that gives me a headache!!!!! XD

Similar for me but it also depends on whether I purchased the book. If I purchased it then I usually read it several more times. I rarely read library books again but I have done that also.

Yeah!!!!It makes a sort of flawed sense to me,but I always have to go through the reasoning about a bajillion times before I even semi-comprehend it. :S
:D I don't blame you either!!!!!!

Andso true!!!!! I reread lihrary books again only if I absolutely love the book.Otherwise I'll jus forget about it.And maybe find it in the bookstore and wonder if I've read it,end up buying it,and realizing that, yes,it was that one I read from the library.... Lol. :D

Oh Tabitha, I have done the very same thing. We were laughing at the library the other day as another lady had done that too. I also watch movies over not realizing I have seen them. I think certain titles appeal to us and I know certain covers really get me.
I would rather read a good book over 5 times than start on a book I do not like!

I have about 53 Norah Lofts books and I have read every single one of them more than once. Her writing just greatly appeals to me.

Amen! XD lol yup....sometimes if something I don't like (like a S** scene or a lot of swearing) in a book from the library...I just stick it in my backpack and dont look at it until I bring it back...but I research what I'm going to read a bit before I get it...so that doesn't happen a lot thankfully lol

no,I haven't heard of it.and totally w/ you Tabi & Alice!!!!!!!!One book I tried rereading was Nick of Time by Ted Bell. When I first read it,I wasnt all that thrilled with it.This year,I found it at the library;and I thought,"Oh I remember this one!I bet I would like it now!"So I reread it again, and it was just the same as when I first read it. :S
