David Mcdivitt | 65 comments I've been somewhat confused about embodied cognition wondering what the point is. Evan Thompson explained it all in the context of self and subjectivity, even mentioning intersubjectivity of all things. How wonderful that was. I advocate self and do not like attempts to reduce it away. Previous readings of embodied cognition were nebulous and seemed to dissipate the idea of self. I never could understand what the focus was supposed to be. This interview was excellent and was one of the best assertions of self I've heard.

Michael Bruzenak | 6 comments I'm reading the book now and am thrilled with the match between where I have been leaning. He is giving me a language to express things that have been difficult for me to express.

My leanings have been to consciousness as a whole brain/body/world cognition rather than any neural correlate.
