Matthew (phoebus) | 4 comments Name: Jamie Basinette
Age: 17
Height: 5' 9”
Eye Color: Blue
Hair Color: Black
Physical Description:
The first detail you notice, his eyes. Crisp, clear, blue as a winter morning. A piercing chill, a calm seriousness to them, and yet, at the same time, an inviting gentle touch. They stand out, glowing in a crowd of faces. Then comes his hair, ink black, like the darkness in the night has dripped from the sky. They only seem to make his eyes ever more alluring, both complimenting and contrasting them in the same delicate moment. They reach down across his face, just short of covering his eyes, seemingly retreating from their piercing gleam. A face, full of worry, stress, beyond what one his age should have to experience, and yet a kindle of an inner sincerity, a child-like quality of perhaps something greater. Perhaps, it is this mysterious quality that allows that determined look to remain sketched upon his face, as if to defy everything. A face that is both revealing, but greedy of it's many secrets. Broad shoulders, with a slight weariness to them, as if a weight was being carried upon them. It seemed, as if at any given moment, he might collapse, but then again, they seemed like to challenge the world, to just dare and do it's worst. The boy had a nice, mildly tall, slender frame. Not quite big, but not quite scrawny either. Looks can be deceiving of ones true strength, or even ones true weakness. Never the less there was a story behind this boy, a story the seemed to be filled with dark twists.

Personality:
Jamie is quite a difficult person to understand, particularly to those whom had never experienced what he has, which would be most people. Upon first impressions, Jamie appears to be very serious, and a bit mature beyond his own age perhaps, young lad. This might be true, but is not necessarily entirely true. That aside, you can almost feel something about him, something that makes you want to believe in him. Irrational as it may be, the boy has a quality. You simply knew, just knew, that nothing would stop him. It made you want to follow him... or it made him your enemy.

Jamie is an exceptionally serious person, to serious for some people's liking. Jamie just never seemed to allow himself some peace, to just lay back and relax for a while, make a joke. You just want to shake the boy, and tell him to take a break and allow himself to live. And you would be absolutely right about it. Jamie does not allow himself to wonder, or to loose sight of his goal. To Jamie there is only one thing that matters, and that is his goal. Other things are just mere distraction to that goal, and Jamie can't allow himself to get distracted.

There is another side though, a side that few, if more then just one, ever get to see. Like has a vast love for his little brother, Al, whom is all he has left, and Jamie is all Al has. Al is the world to Jamie, the meaning and source behind his goal and strength. Jamie would never allow harm to fall upon his brother. It's to his brother that another side of Jamie becomes apparent. A more gentle, kind, and even joking side, one that teases and is silly, plays games and knows how to make people laugh. A loving older brother, that is what Jamie is to Al, the only family he has left. Al sees a wonderful brother, whom would do anything for Al, to simply make him smile. It is only with Al that Jamie allows himself to be young, for deep inside he is still a mere child. The world outside, Jamie is being forced to grow up ever so rapidly, his precious youth being ripped out of his grasp. Jamie is determined to never allow Al to seem him fall into despair or darkness, to never loose hope, even when down inside he is hopeless. Al is truly what keeps Jamie going
