Effortless discussion

When I am reading about Kellan or any other bad boy rocker, I imagine the kind of music they are playing to be by The Gaslight Anthem. Must be all of the tattoos the guys have but I am definitely there rocking out with them!

Any other rockers do it for you ladies?

For me it's usually Shinedown, Halestorm, Avenged Sevenfold, Rise Against, Sevendust, 10 Years, and Chevelle.

Now I imagine the music to be more along the Rise Against style then the hard core hard rock. I imagine that the characters fit more of the A7X/Shinedown style.

Shinedown are hands down my favorite band. Check out some of their live or acoustic versions if you can. They are awesome in concert.

Hmmm.. Dashboard Confessional and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. I think they wouldn't be called as "rockers" but their music is all I think about when I hear the name "Kellan".

I'm probably going to date myself by saying this...but since reading Thoughtless and Effortless I can't get enough of Sirius XM's Lithium station...its 90s alternative/grunge. Reading the books I don't picture the bands so much, becasue for me Jared Leto is the perfect Kellan. I keep searching for a voice to match the descirption of Kellan's...I have to agree that Shinedown's lead in "45" and/or Bush's lead in "Comedown" definitely make me think of Kellan.
