Is anyone ready to discuss this one yet? I thought it offered a great perspective on women's suffrage in Britain.

Having recently read Round About A Pound A Week which deals with real working-class women at exactly the time this was published, it struck me how the women had complete responsibility for running the household. The men would hand over their wages, keeping just a little back for their own tram fares, lunches etc, and the women had to keep the family housed, fed and clothed on this tiny amount. I don't think I could have done it. And yet they weren't allowed to vote.
