19th Century Epic Romances discussion

We have chosen our group read! Since this is such a long book, should we read this one through January? The unabridged version is over 1000 pages. Let me know what you think!

Well...I have been reading the book for a very extremely long time..I think you better find it on audio than just read it.

I think thru January is a good idea, especially since we're about a week into December already.

Going through January is a the best idea.

Read it in 6th grade so I should be fine but if people aren't finding time then let's go with January!

I agree with January! I just picked up the unabridged version from the library today and it's definitely going to be a long read!

Yes January should be fine. I read it 5 years ago and can't wait to read it again! Forgot it was 1000 pages! Wowee

It was on my school summer reading list in the 'Recommended' section... and I was a tween that just had to go through the entire list. :D I think adults would provide much better discussion though!

So, the reading started yesterday and it will end in January...?

Since most people are thinking reading the book through January would be best I am going to go ahead and have Les Misérables be the January read as well! Thanks for your thoughts! :)

Absolutly! We were late starting...then there are the Christmas preparations. January is holiday time, perfect to curl up with LM :)

You can can get it on iBooks too...i am reading mine on this app...great for instant reference.

I didn't even check for iBooks! Yes, and there are FREE iBook copies as well! I must admit though, for me the Kindle Touch beats the iPad for book reading any day.

HAHA Thanks! I can't take credit for the book choice though! The group voted on a poll and Les Misérables won! I am happy with the choice as well! Should be a great read!

I'm definately going with the audio book on this one! :)Librovox is a good website to get this for free.
